The New Laguna Fusion 2 Table Saw – Updated version with a NEW Look for 2022!
The substantial professional ‘zero clearance’ throat plate is suitable for all blade angles and is supplied as standard, it has fine adjustment grub screws to precisely line up to the table surface and also features fast removal.
The cast polished hand wheels control the arbor, so that the rise, fall and tilt give a lovely buttery smooth blade movement, courtesy of a 2:1 ratio gear box. Blade angle can be read off the mains powered digital display, accurate to 1/10th of a degree.
The heart of the saw is the powerful braked motor which is mounted onto the powder coated one-piece cabinet base via solid cast aluminium trunnions. This mounting method ensures the table top is left unstressed by the motor weight and guarantees a perfectly flat working surface. A drive belt transfers power to the blade arbor which has sealed and permanently lubricated long life bearings.
The fusion design has an emphasis on superior dust collection for operator safety and machine longevity. Utilizing over/under collection & sealed cabinet bottom. all dust id collected through a single 100mm diameter side port.
The mitre fence has been upgraded for 2022. It has an aluminium body, with an adjustable steel fence. It runs in T-slots provided on either side of the blade and rotates to 60 degrees each way. Angle adjustment is made by rotating a geared drive and there are preset stops at commonly used angles.
For anybody requiring portability, the Fusion2 has a built in wheel kit. 2 Retractable wheels are mounted underneath the cabinet. They can be lowered when the machine needs to be moved.
When it comes to changing the blade, the process has been well thought out. With a quick release throat plate, a quick release riving knife and a tool free spindle lock it is a fast and simple job.
The standard equipment also includes: Integral wheel kit, on-board storage for the rip fence and mitre fence, 40 tooth TCT sawblade, quick release riving knife for fast blade changes, fence mounted push stick, 1.8m power cable with UK 3 pin plug.

Dado Sets: We are frequently asked about the use of Dado sets, something which is common practice in Laguna’s homeland, the USA. The rules and regulations are different here in the UK and in Europe. To operate a table saw safely: a crown guard must be in place at all times. When using a Dado set the crown guard is removed and therefore this is considered unsafe and not allowed in the workplace unless an overhead guard has been installed.
